We may not celebrate Halloween or go trick-or-treating, but I'm a sucker for a cute costume.

Turning 21(months)

Brianna

She's a sweetheart.


She's on the go (a lot).


She's funny.


She's beautiful.


She's a joy to have in our home.

Under the Sea

Believe it or not, it was not a day to be outside on Sunday (unless you like hot humid days) so we spent the afternoon at Underwater Adventures. Brianna and her mom joined us to make it an extra special treat.

Julia wasn't phased a bit by the large fish swimming right towards her. Not even the sharks made her shy away. Most people only spend 10 minutes or so in the tunnel but we were in there at least 45 minutes. Brianna and Sam kept running back and forth, loving every minute of their underwater adventure.



At the end of the tunnel is a fun pirate ship the kids can climb on. If it weren't for the sandbox and the opportunity to touch sting rays and sharks, I think those kids would still be climbing all over that thing.

It was worth it to have to brush sand out of everywhere. Sam and JoJo thought it so neat that they could move so quickly across the smooth sand.

My "first" photo shoot

Here's a sample of some of the photographs I took of Brianna and her parents, Scott and Wendy this afternoon. It's been five years since I've been a professional photographer in any sense of the word. It felt good to get my feet wet again.

The fabulous foursome

We draw quite a bit of attention when I take ALL the kids out in public, but having MSC (Jennifer's term for Many Small Children) has it's advantages too. Not only is there more hugs and kisses to go around, the older ones help out with the babies. Julia and Grant loved being pushed on the swings by Sam and Bea.











Both girls spend quite a bit of time climbing on this chair my Grandma made for me when I was a kid. They both squeeze their little bums on it. They are becoming the best of friends.

Welcome back Brianna!

We have a "new" addition to our house a few days a week now. Brianna had taken the summer off to stay home with her dad, but he's taking classes on campus this fall so we get to get reacquainted with our friend Bea.



At 19 months she's already a little mother. Keeping a close eye on the babies while they nap (That's Grant on the monitor), returning pacifiers to Julia, offering sippy cups, and helping put bibs on.



Not only do I have the privilege of watching Sam and Brianna play, but Julia is pretty taken with her too.


How could you not be with a face like this??
